European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’
Officials from Europe including the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans targeted individuals that were at the heart of campaigns to enact laws regulating American tech companies.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have led organised efforts to coerce US companies to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated a senior US official in a social media post. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
